- Nice people and passive-aggressive people exhibit similar characteristics. Know the difference.
- When leading others, supervise their motives, not their methods.
- Never diminish someone’s dream, no matter how absurd it seems.
- If your job ended tomorrow, what is your next career move? If you don’t know, you’re screwed. Always have a Plan B.
- The most honest people in the world are small children and the elderly.
- When teaching others, don’t make them come to where you are. Meet them where they are.
- It’s okay to be forgetful sometimes. Forgetting where you put your car keys is one thing. Forgetting what those keys are for is something else.
- Some people can be mean without being mean.
- When parenting, know the difference between what your child wants and what your child needs. They are rarely the same thing.
- Before crossing a one-way street, always look both ways.
- When someone gives you the middle finger, be flattered. They’re telling you that you’re #1 in their own special way.
- If you tell someone a secret, it’s no longer a secret.
- When someone says “Can we talk?”, they are not seeking your opinion.
- Hearing and listening are not the same.
- During conversations, if someone responds with only one- or two-word sentences, take a hint. They don’t want to talk to you.
- Body language means far more than the words that are said.
- Nothing feels worse than when you disappoint someone you respect.
- Feeling depressed? Listen to a baby’s laugh.
- Every morning, look at the person in the bathroom mirror and remind them that their life has meaning.
- Love is much better when it is demonstrated, not spoken.
